Rise Performance Group was founded on the belief that people are an organization’s most valuable asset. Buildings and other assets decay over time, but people can grow and become more valuable if they are in an environment conducive for growth. Strong leaders produce that environment.
Unfortunately there is a dearth of leadership in our society today. There are too many people looking for the leader rather than rising up and becoming the leader. At Rise Performance Group, we are intent about changing that. People will not passionately follow someone because they are told to follow them – they will passionately follow someone because they respect that person and feel the mission is worthy of their own leadership ability. We are all called to leadership – we are all created to be leaders. We believe every individual has leadership potential that needs to be unleashed. They just need guidance, direction and coaching so they can elevate their leadership abilities and trust their intuition.
How does Rise Performance Group help build up these leaders? First, we work with corporations through in-house training programs. We come alongside senior executives of the company and help them drive their mission, vision, values and priorities throughout the organization. But most importantly, we give their team members confidence that they can command respect and lead. Through on-site, highly interactive workshops coupled with a series of follow up sessions (that continue for 10 to 20 weeks after the workshop), we help participants master proven leadership principles and self-discover what makes the biggest difference in their leadership. We help participants uncover breakthroughs that elevate them to the next level.
We also offer a monthly workshop called Unleash the Leader Within. This is a public workshop (and you are invited to attend your first one FREE) that focuses on specific, actionable steps you can implement today to start building your influence and your leadership. The workshops are one-hour long; through stories, group activities and thought-provoking questions, we tackle a specific leadership issue each month to help you become a strong, more confident leader.
Each week, I publish a blog that tackles another leadership issue (oftentimes one brought to my attention by a workshop attendee). One of the biggest frustrations our blog readers face is people issues – inspiring their team members, understanding people, learning how to listen, how to help others develop and grow. To sum it up – how to get people (team members, peers, supervisors) to buy in to their ideas, their mission, their goal. We all want to be respected, to be listened to and to have people believe our ideas have merit. Through the weekly blog, we can address many of these issues one piece at a time.
Through my 25 years of leadership experience, I’ve led some great teams and I’ve made mistakes that caused me to lose teams. This experience, coupled with the coaching and mentoring I receive from John Maxwell and faculty members of the John Maxwell Team, gives me a unique perspective that can help my clients increase their influence, unite teams and accomplish extraordinary success. It is my passion to see individuals reach their potential by raising their leadership lid – after all, everything rises and falls on leadership.
