Governor's Small Business Forum for the North Texas region will be held at the Irving Convention Center on August 1, 2013. Sponsored by the Office of the Governor, Economic Development and Tourism Division, Texas Workforce Commission and Allstate. The forum is designed to promote and foster growth for entrepreneurships and small businesses. As one of nearly 20 Governor’s Small Business Forums held throughout Texas all year, each one is meant to encourage more Texan small businesses to develop needed skills to thrive. In Texas small business is big business, and the forum will offer a range of expert speakers and in-depth seminars covering workforce development, to internet marketing, to adapting to changing healthcare laws. The forums also provide Texan businesses a chance to meet and trade with one another, exchange best practices, and discuss challenges and innovative ways of overcoming them. Additionally, the forum highlights the wide range of opportunities available to minority and women-owned small businesses, veterans, and businesses interested in expanding globally.
Topics include:
